My Thoughts

Welcome

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/d1/Masswelcomemat.jpg

You have landed on my introductory post. Originally this free blog was intended to bring traffic to my E-mall, but it took off with a life of its own and now it has become my obsession. I love writing it. Having said that, please remember to take a look at my E-mall on my Home page. The stores you will find on the menu and banners are Amazon, Darby Creek Trading (prayers and inspirational), Fresh Roses and Petals, HD Tracks (music), Working Persons (work clothes), Greeting Cards, Auto Parts, Fanzz (sports parafhernalia), Gardening, Pet Products, and Travel.

Nevermind your animal instincts, use your mind to think it through; isn’t it better to live in truth rather than lies? Of course. Our Founding Fathers were Bible educated. As  children they learned the alphabet with each letter beginning a Bible verse. The Bible was their reader, so they grew up knowing God. They let “The greatest story ever told” guide their lives. Noah Webster, commented, “Education is meaningless without the Bible.” To which his contemporaries chorused, "Of course! Doesn't everyone know that?" Unfortunately, we ran off and forgot that key to a happy and fulfilling life.

My purpose is to peak your curiosity and encourage you to read the Bible for the meaning of life…to bring meaning to your education. You can thank me later.

Scrolling, there are currently 135 short posts, most no longer than this one (except for The Declaration of Independence, The Bill of Rights and The Sermon on the Mount). There are 10 articles per page, which have drawn more than 200,000 comments to the point where I stopped counting. Here you will learn what is not taught in school; our Godly heritage, the original intent of our Founding Fathers as expressed through authentic quotations of notable historic figures, the Founding Fathers themselves, and relevant decisions of the Supreme Court through the years. I think you will find these authentic posts entertaining, informative, and inspirational. To be a great people we must know who we are, how we got here, and how to avoid the mistakes of the past. We cannot ignor true history and expect a good life. I do not apologize for repeating my self in these articles. I have approached this theme from many different angles in the hope I’ll get through to more of you.The Bible is a good example of the fact that we learn by repetition. My theme is A CHRISTIAN EDUCATION IS THE ANTIBIOTIC AN AILING AMERICA NEEDS.

http://showcase.netins.net/web/creative/lincoln/resource/5bill.gifAbraham Lincoln said, “Nothing is politically right which is morally wrong.” And this should be the Christian’s battle cry today more than ever in this secular society.

While I offer this blog free of charge, I think you’ll find it highly valuable. Also, my new Emall offers 13 stores, including Amazon where I feature a great library of Christian books. I know that the internet is no place to sharpen you reading and writing skills (just look at some of the reader comments) but I hope I can encourage you to break away from mediocrity and let some skillful writing rub off on you. Yes, the avid readers eventually learns to express themselves effectively. I remember my English Literature teacher, Miss Holt, telling me not to be so “wordy”. Be more economical with words. I thank her for the inspiration to learn proper English. In the army that skill impressed my superiors and placed me above my contemporaries for promotion. Everyone assumed by my speech I was a college man, while in fact I was only a high school graduate with terrible grades except in mechanical/architectual drawing and English. Eventually, reading transformed me into a history buff.

http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y2/wanwarangk/rb4204.jpgPygmalion is a play by George Bernard Shaw which was made into a musical, My Fair Lady. I remember Professor Higgins describing a lowly flower girl. “It’s ‘aouu’ and ‘garhm’ that keep her in her place; not her wretched clothes and dirty face.” When you interview for a job, your ability to speak properly tells the interviewer most of what he needs to know about your potential for advancement. If you use teen slang and double negatives, you’re done. If you do get a job you can bet it’ll be low paying without much future.  I suppose today, as a child, I would be diagnosed with Attention Defecit Disorder. I prefer to call it Interest Defecit Disorder. I excelled at anything in which I was interested. A good teacher will create interest in the subject. Fortunately, Miss Holt’s inspirational motivation allowed me promotion to Sergeant E5, then to Officer Candidate School to Second Lieutenant, First Lieutenant, Captain, Major, and finally Lieutenant Colonel before retiring at age 41. Thanks again, Miss Holt.

The English language is spoken all over the world. It is the language of Shakespeare and the Bible. Wherever you go your language skill, or lack of it, is like a sign hung around your neck advertising who you are, and affecting your economic future for better or worse.

If you don’t want to study the Writer’s Handbook, read any book, preferably by Christian writers such as I feature on my home page and in many of my posts. I have tried to make my blog unique among blogs and, according to my reader comments, I have succeeded.

Having said all this don’t be too surprised if, occasionally, you find fault with my spelling or punctuation. I’ve tried to discipline my computer, but it won’t listen.

As I have said, this blog is offered free and you may use all or any part to your heart’s content, as long as you backlink to http://moneyonlinemadeeasy.com    Understand that I am alone in this effort and have no staff. It takes all my available time to research, compose, publish and delete spam comments. I can't get bogged down in administration. My mission is to write. Please confine your comments and questions to the subject matter.

Forgive the commercial. Got to pay the landlord.

While many devout Christians carry their Bible to church, it’s not exactly convenient to carry them elsewhere in their daily activities. I have found there are many occasions when I’m relaxing, having to wait in an office, airport or in flight that I could be reading the Bible if I had carried it with me. However Bibles can be bulky. The smaller pocket size bibles have very tiny print. First Step

clock May 8, 2012 14:51 by author Don's Blogs

The Fix

Our Founding Fathers ordained and established a constitution that put the real power in the hands of the people. Therefore, our Constitution is the people’s directive to the government. However, that power has been stolen away from the people by the entrenched professional politicians. These career politicians over the last 20 years have been reelected 90% of the time because the system is heavily tilted in favor of incumbents. The only way we can see real change and end business as usual is to set term limits so the people are represented by citizen legislators; two terms for Senators and three terms for Representatives.

Our Constitution provides the means for limiting power, by means of checks and balances, and sets terms for Senators (6 years) and Representatives (2 years) but did not protect against permanent incumbency, a dangerous source of power that corrupts. We must end the era of the professional politician.

Congress just approved itself an increase of nearly $250 million from the U.S.Treasury that members will spend to promote themselves.

One of our Founding Signers of The Constititution, George Mason, said this:

Representatives are “the trustees and servants of the people and at all times amenable to them.” “Whenever government shall be found inadequate or contrary to these purposes, the majority of the community hath an indubitable, unalienable and undefeasible right to reform (it)…in such a manner as shall be the most condusive to the public will.”

In order for our government to function as our God given Constitution intends and change the policies coming out of Congress , we must change the process itself by eliminating the expenditure of tax payer money…”to buy off special interest, covering over corruption in bureaucracy, fundraising, relationship building among lobbyists and trading favors for pork—in short, amassing their own power.” –Senator Jim DeMint

All the above practises circumvent the intent of our Founding Fathers who because of their Bible education, knew that our Constitution would work only for a God fearing people. Looking to an education system that was God oriented they felt it safe not writing more restrictive features regulating the actions of today’s professional politicians. They could not forsee an education system that would turn its back on Almighty God. Shame on us!

Another reason for term limits is not so apparent. It gets the people involved. It gives them a feeling of participation, electing a new Senator or Representative from time to time.

We don’t have to reorganize our federal government, only install a simple fix, term limits. Congress would not kill the goose that lays their golden eggs, so naturally they would not support term limits. The Constitution provides the way to take that process out of the hands of Congress and give it back to the people--- convene a Constitutional Convention. The wave of discontent with our system is actually discontent with professional politicians. Voters must stop being amateurs and support a term limit amendment. Congress won’t, so we must.

Wisdom Endures

Science and Humanity

Science has brought us far from the world of yesterday. Manual labor is beneath our dignity. Machines and gadgets do the work for most of us, leaving our minds to do the sweating. We are caught up in a fast paced society that leaves very little time for leisurely and relaxed human relationships. Continuing in that direction has destroyed our faith in God and substituted a complete faith in science. This in turn has brought moral decline with dreadful consequences. Our misbehavior has created a nation unworthy of God’s blessing.

Thomas Alva Edison, our greatist inventor held 1150 patents creating jobs, industries and wealth. His electric light bulb lit up New York, Paris and Rome. His string of inventions included the Fluoroscope, storage battery, mimeograph, multiple telegraph, fire alarm, electric motor, motion pictures, talking pictures, projection machine and generator, to name a few. Looking back on his accomplishments, he had this to say:

“…now, the world belongs to our children. It is a troubled world filled with doubt and uncertainty. You might say we men of science are helping them. Will our children and their children find that they trusted science too much or that it has turned into a monster? It can be  avoided. I once had two dynamos; one ran faster than the other pulling the weight of the other. It was a problem of adjustment and balance. The dynamo of man’s God given ingenuity is running away with the dynamo of his equally God given humanity. We must put those dynamos in balance; make them work in harmony as the Great Designer intended it should. What man’s mind can conceive man’s character can control. Man must learn that. Then we needn’t be afraid of tomorrow. And man will go forward toward more light.”

 http://c1cleantechnicacom.wpengine.netdna-cdn.com/files/2012/03/Edison-solar-energy.jpg

Edison’s words are untarnished by time. They are as true today as they were 80 years ago. The key remains man’s character and man’s character must me the product of his faith in God. Without that standard we are at the mercy of man’s folly, an error filled life ending in tragic regret and sorrow when we find ourselves in the wrong place, a place we never intended to go, with Satan our taskmaster.

Man Doesn't Think as God Thinks

clock April 22, 2012 11:59 by author Don's Blogs

Comprehend God’s Word

People can acquire the same information and interpret it differently. Each person hears what they want to hear. Let me illustrate. A Pastor of a small church teaching a Friday night bible study the parable of the sower said, “Here are four jars; one filled with alcohol, one filled with cigarette smoke, one filled with chocolate and one filled with good rich soil. Into each I’ll place one earth worm. Sunday we’ll see how they’re doing.” Sunday the Pastor opened the alchohol jar; the worm was dead. He then opened the cigarette smoke jar; the worm was dead. Then the chocolate jar; the worm was dead. Finally, he opened the good earth jar: the worm was healthy and doing fine. Then he asked the congregation, “What have we learned from this illustration?” A lady held up her hand and stood up saying,”If we drink alcohol, smoke cigarettes and eat chocolate we won’t get worms.”

To avoid misinterpreting the Bible we must do more than just reading it. The Apostle Philip asked the Ethiopian, “Do you know what you’re reading?” Philip was invited into the chariot to teach resulting in the baptism of the Ethiopian. I have repeatedly advised my readers to read, study and meditate on each passage. But, there is more to it than that. Seek teaching and group Bible studies to correctly interpret the meaning of each passage under discussion. Of course, it’s important we don’t reach the wrong conclusion, as did the lady in the worm story.

As “baby Christians” we all come from a place far from the mind of God requiring a paradigm shift in our thinking. It’s no wonder we tend to misunderstand what we read or fail to comprehend it at all. But, not to worry, we’ve all been through that phase in our education. I could also write a book. Call it Comprehend the Bible for the Fun Of It . It is fun knowing that each chapter and verse is drawing us closer to God. Therefore, the closer we get the stronger our confidence and hope for the future.

In this day and age there are many more who have never heard the child’s bedtime prayer:

Now I lay me down to sleep,

I pray the Lord my soul to keep.

If I should die before I wake,

I pray the Lord my soul to take.

Jesus told us, we must have the faith of a child if we are to enter the Kingdom of God. Is your mind standing in the way of your heart? Are you the victim of stinkin’ thinkin’? Humble yourself before God and do your best to think as God thinks. You’ll acquire that ability only in part, but you’ll be a lot closer to God than you are now, appreciating His mighty power in your life.

Always remember, you are spirit and your spirit is eternal. When your body lies cold in the grave, where will your spirit reside, in Heaven or Hell? You can answer that question by doing something about it now. The time is near, let Jesus take charge of your life. Do it now; once you leave this life there is no arbitration.

Forgiveness is available now for the asking. It’s all been done for you on the cross. All you must do is become a follower of Jesus. You could die in your sleep tonight and go to hell for not asking.

Keep reading my blogs for more information on our God and Country. May God’s peace be with you.

The Fifth Column

clock April 17, 2012 16:35 by author Don's Blogs

Know Your Enemy

The enemy within is not necessarily a citizen of the United States. Listen to  http://spyghana.com/wp-content/uploads/trojan-horse1-390x312.gifme. We have let the Trojan Horse enter our gates. You will remember the Greeks at the seige of Troy appeared to have withdrawn leaving a wooden horse at the gate. The Trojans pulled it into the city as a trophy of victory. After a night of revelry when everyone was asleep Greek soldiers hidden in the horse came out and opened the gate. Radical Islam has infiltrated our country illegally and we took no notice. Where is our vigilant media? During the Spanish civil war when four columns were advancing on Madrid their General knowing he had agents within the city said he was counting on what he called his "fifth column" to gain the victory.

Radical Islam is infiltrating our country to do damage from within. When they reach sufficient numbers there will be terror within our borders. It is not a new tactic. Hitler marched into Austria, Denmark and Norway virtually unopposed. Why unopposed? Because Hitler had agents within those countries preparing the way. In Norway his name was Quisling, the name to this day means traitor. We have ignored our well conceived immigration laws. Hiding beneath the phrase, “Are we not a melting pot?” And “The statue of liberty says it’s Okay.” Well, Islam says, “That’s our way in. By the time they get wise we’ll be in control. Even the President is with us.” Is he? He has said he would stand with the Muslims should the political winds turn ugly. You see, in a democracy it is hard to take power from the bottom up. Islamic radicals believe in grasping power from the top down because they don’t understand the democratic way; or maybe they understand it only too well.

Observance of our God given Constitution made us a great nation, and yet Justice Ginsberg says she would not look to the Constitution when drafting new constitution for 2012.  Our Constitution was recognized by our Founding Fathers as “God given” for a God fearing people because it incorporated the teachings of the Bible. Not believing that caused our decline. We must not allow the world, the United Nations, to steal our sovereignty, and therefore our freedom. It’s time we withdrew our support. We pay the highest “dues” to the U.N. of any nation on earth. We must tell the world once again, "Don’t tread on me!”

One of the first steps to recover our greatness and economy is to deport as quickly an aggressively as we can all illegal aliens, and put Americans to work in their place. Approaching the problem of unemployment we must accept God’s fundamental rule, “If you don’t work, you don’t eat.”

This is no time for the “do gooders” and the faint hearted. We need tough love of country. We need a nationwide neighborhood watch. The enemy is here among us. Cut him out like the cancer he is. We must strictly observe the immigration quotas established if we are to return to health as a nation. Instruction in our official English language must be a prerequisite to citizenship.

I have said all this with the understanding that as a citizen we must return God to the classroom in order to educate future leaders in the Biblical truth of honor, integrity, courage and love for his fellow man.

Too many think of God as a now and then thing, like the parable of the seed choked to death by the weeds and thistles of our busy lives, when we should have the heartset that He is with us at all times so that our faith will flower. At every turn in our lives we should ask, what would Jesus do? To answer that question correctly we must know the true character of God as taught in the Bible. We should constantly engage Him in prayer through good times and bad. We will receive nothing without asking. That, my friends, is what prayer is for; glorify God, pray for others and then for your needs.

The Civil War was the last war on our soil. Since then all our fighting has been “over there” instead of fighting in our own neighborhoods. Islamic radicals have found the way to get by our protective oceans. Let us not suffer a civil war. If it happens our enemy won’t be in uniform. We’ll be glad of the individual’s right to bear arms as did the Minute Men.

Rock of the Christian Faith

clock March 26, 2012 06:44 by author Don's Blogs

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9qNy2ND0GIA/Ta5thbfBXyI/AAAAAAAABig/ivAkn3iTKwY/s1600/HeIsRisen.jpg

The true meaning of Easter is not about bunnies and brightly colored eggs. Easter celebrates the soul of our faith, the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, from the tomb; a fact. How many eyewitnesses do you need? God provides us with more that 500. However, the Christian fabric of our nation has been torn apart by apostacy, the turning away from the faith our country was founded upon, and it has cost us dearly. Let us harken back to January 13, 1947, to words true today as never before, by Dr Peter Marshall, 2 years before his death.  As Chaplain to the United States Senate he admonished:

“The choice before us is plain: Christ or chaos, conviction or compromise, http://www.i100x.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/Peter-Marshall-Preaching.jpgdiscipline or disintegration. I am rather tired of hearing about our rights and privileges as American citizens. The time is come—it is now—when we ought to hear about the duties and responsibilities of our citizenship. America’s future depends upon her accepting and demonstrating God’s government.”

In this Easter season we should not only appreciate the perfect sacrifice of Jesus, our Lord and savior, but look into ourselves and ask if we are doing all we can to carry His message to others. We have been turned this way and that by a vocal minority and fogotten the principle of majority  rule. The majority has been silent too long. Our silence has amounted to tolerance of immorality. If we are true Christians we must live by the Word and spread the Gospel to all the world. That means, as individuals, all our little world also. This is not a suggestion, it is a command by Jesus himself. To disobey is apostacy, ignoring God’s Word.

The signers of our God given Constitution knew that it would only work for a God fearing people. George Washington in his enaugural address said:

“Our Constitution is a miracle; surely it was written by the finger of God.” And he said:

“It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible."

Let us resolve to echo his words to all who will listen. So, let this Easter remind us to renew our efforts to reach all we can with His message. Time is short. When we do this we are also making ourselves ready for the Rapture.

Don't Gamble With Eternity

clock March 22, 2012 05:47 by author Don's Blogs

Biggest Gamble—Highest Stakes

There are three steps to teaching, 1. Tell them what you are going to tell them, 2. Tell them, and 3. Tell them what you told them.

Today we will be talking about gambling. There was a time when gambling was illegal; gambling ships had to stay beyond the legal limit offshore and the Coast Guard made sure they did. Cardrooms were raided by police frequently. Legal onshore gamblinghttp://www.michigan.org/global/Media/265/casino_kewadin_gaming_02.jpg was confined to Nevada. Today native American Tribes have finally achieved what is commonly called “The Redman’s Revenge," setting up casinos on tribal land. Professional gamblers are expert at figuring the odds, but most are amateurs just passing time and losing money. Even the unemployed gamble their welfare checks in the forlorn hope of a jackpot. But this is penny ante stuff compared to the biggest gamble of our lives.

How do you feel about gambling? How do you feel about Jesus? What’s gambling got to do with the Christ? Just this. Religion is something you can take or leave. Because it is man’s idea, man’s opinion, something in which he wants to believe and comforts him; something which conforms to his desires. Therefore, you can agree or disagree with it.

However, Christianity is not a religion. Why not? It is a personal relationship between you and Jesus Christ. How can we have confidence in Jesus? Jesus is who He says He is, the Son of God. How do we know? Simply this. Jesus is the only founder of a faith who died before many witnesses and three days later rose from the dead and appeared before and spoke with at least 500 eyewitnesses. Christians are not dreamers. The resurrection is the foundation of our faith, the certainty of our faith. Jesus’ life was God’s plan right up to His ascension back to heaven from whence He came. For the past 2000+ years the greatest figures of human history have been devout Christians—many were martyrs of the faith.

So, let me ask you this. Who are you? Where do you stand. Do you believe Jesus is who He says He is, or not. If not, the odds are against you. You are taking the biggest gamble of your misguided life.http://www.ultramarinebooks.com/ultra/images/items//000782.jpg Christianity is no fairytale, it is authentic history. Yes, history confirmed by archaeological discoveries at locales of Biblical events and documents authenticated scientifically. If, in the face of this mountain of evidence, you still do not accept Jesus as the Lord of your life you have just placed your bet and lost the biggest wager of your life, and are now firmly seated in Satan’s camp. From there you are destined for eternity in the torment of hell. Sorry, you were told, but you didn’t believe. As it stands, you don’t know Jesus, and at the judgment Jesus will not know you. The gate of hell is always open, but you’ll need a ticket to open the gate of heaven, and Jesus is the exclusive ticketmaster.

Hundreds of years before Christ (B.C.) the prophet Isaiah (53:6) wrote, “All we like sheep have gone astray: we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on Him (Jesus) the iniquity (sin) of us all.”

Jesus took our sins to the cross in love. Greater love has no man than to die for his friends. You may feel you are not worth God’s love, but your love for Jesus erases all your sin and lets you start over as His child.

LOVE JESUS. HE’S A SURE BET!

AND WOW, THE JACKPOT? YOU JUST CAN’T IMAGINE.

I told you.

Fire and Brimstone vs LOVE

clock March 19, 2012 11:57 by author Don's Blogs

You Lost Me

Most young people who fall away from the faith blame the establishment. Some say, “I didn’t leave the church…the church left me.” This situation wreaks of religion, legalism and a lack of intimacy in faith. The Bible tells us people have an evil nature and our purpose is to overcome that nature and glorify God. But if that is true, people who make little or no effort to overcome that nature are still around and have an negative influence on others.

A study of the Bible shows us how the Isrealites drifted away from true faith by imposing unneccesary rituals and rules designed by man not God. Erronious interpretation of the Word became hard and fast rules, the violation of which was heresy demanding the penalty of death. I ask you, who wouldn’t turn away from such a religion?

I could go on and on with examples and case histories of people who said, “You lost me.”…but it all boils down to “religion”. That is a general word reflecting man’s idea of religion as a whole or a particular faith such as Islam or Hinduism, but it should not be used to describe Christianity which is an intimate one on one relationship with Jesus Christ. You might ask, “How do we know God’s will in this regard?

First, we must understand that Christianity is not man’s idea…it is God’s plan for our salvation. It is a deeply personal relationship with the one God sent to save us. It is you and Jesus in a secret place in the company of no one else.

To make this relationship work as it should you must know God. To the ignorant, God is different things to different people. He becomes a matter of convenience, taking on the character of the one who imagines him. Assuming nothing, we must with an open mind go to the Bible, the Word of God Himself, to know Him. Only then will the pieces fall in place.

Now you are able to recognize false doctrine, “religion” for what it is…the work of the evil one. Satan.

It is important to fellowship with people who share your faith. Find a Bible based church with sermons that teach the Bible, a church that conducts Bible studies…a church that projects love and encouragement…all the time remembering your personal relationship with Jesus, your Lord and Savior.

If you are lost, seek Jesus and He’ll find you.

Still have doubts? A Bible based church is the place to express them. Mature Christians understand your doubts and will help you overcome them.  After all, mature Christians were once where you are in your walk with Jesus.

All Christians are a work in progress; you may encounter one who can’t help you much. Keep looking and let the church know your need. Always remember, God is love, joy and compassion. He knows you better than you know yourself. He wants the best for you.

While many devout Christians carry their Bible to church, it’s not exactly convenient to carry them elsewhere in their daily activities. I have found there are many occasions when I’m relaxing, having to wait in an office, airport or in flight that I http://www.eden.co.uk/images/300/9781590744345.jpgcould be reading the Bible if I had carried it with me. However Bibles can be bulky. The smaller pocket size bibles have very tiny print. About 15 years ago, long before iPads and iPhones, I discovered the Franklin electronic Bookman Bible. This little wonder will let you adjust the print size, bookmark, enter key words and phrases to identify chapter and verse, find verses, page up and down, gives you access to the Old And New Testaments, and lets you slip it into any pocket or purse. So, wherever you happen to be, at any time you have God’s Word with you. Type Franklin Electronic Bible at Search Amazon at the top of my home page moneyonlinemadeeasy.com

The Bookman Bible will also play electronic books which are available in cartridge form. Great gift or stocking stuffer.

Fools Argue With Truth

clock March 18, 2012 06:16 by author Don's Blogs

Pounding Home the Obvious.

Yes, in this fast paced world it has become necessary to once again point out what should be obvious. We have over time drifted away from vital principles. You who follow my postings know my overall theme. Throughout our history as a nation great men have been in agreement as to the essentials which make and maintain the greatness of our beloved country. I speak not of the ignorant who accomplish little in this life, but of men who achieve greatness by intelligence, courage and a strong faith in Almighty God. These men lead by example. Their success should signal the common man to follow their example.

None of the quotations I’ve used describe the overall theme of my articles better than these. They capture the essence of my view superbly:

Douglas MacArthur (1880-1964) the Supreme Commander of Alliedhttp://www.adclassix.com/images/51timedouglasmacarthur.jpg Forces in the Pacific during WWII, was celebrated for having liberated the Philippine Islands and receiving the surrender of Japanese forces in Tokyo Bay on the USS Missouri, September 3, 1945. A five star General and the Commander of the UN forces during the Korean War, General of the Armies MacArthur stated:

“History fails to record a single precedent in which nations subject to moral decay have not passed into political and economic decline, There has been either a spiritual awakening to overcome the moral lapse, or a progressive deterioration leading to ultimate national disaster.”

One of Douglas MacArthur’s prayers: “Build me a son, O Lord, who will be strong enough to face himself when he is afraid, one who will be proud and unbending in defeat, and humble and gentle in victory.”

Note: Having been promoted to Brigadere General in the First World War (1918), by WWII he was the ranking Flag Officer in the world.

Theodore Roosevelt (pronounced Rose-velt) (1858-1919), 26th President of the United States, was a soldier, author and Nobel Prize winner for his part in ending the Russo-Japanese War (1906) stated emphatically:

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-pMF5sxfJFXU/TiA4pQlGW4I/AAAAAAAAA-M/THSDW9DuB7k/theodore-roosevelt-balding-hair.jpg“There can be no compromise in the fight for Americanism. I am confident that our people will work hand in hand with any public man who will in good faith do all that is possible to see that the United States so conducts herself as to conserve as a nation the honor and the institutions and the peaceful welfare of her own citizens. Our next business will be to help guarantee the peace of justice to the world at large. There cannot and must not be the repetition of the crime against themselves and brutality.

I shall stand against wrong doing by any foreign power. The little nations of the earth have a right to live, and if civilization is to endure the great nations must respect that right. Let us unite in one great endeavor to keep an enduring peace in the world. But, let us not forget that the surest protection lies in our preparedness to meet all eventualities from without and combat and destroy all subversive elements working from within. There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American and speaks to promote foreignism within our borders is not a true American. We have room for but one flag, the American flag, and room for one language, the language of the Declaration of Independence, The Bill of Rights and the Constitution. And we have room but for one loyalty, and that is to the American people.” By this definition Barack Obama is not a true American.

Listen to the words of Franklin Delano Roosevelt (1882-1945) 32nd President of the United States, who we voted in to the office for four consecutive terms, in a 1935 radio “Fire Side Chat” to the people during the great depression..

http://www.capital.gr/images/2011-01/franklin1.jpg“We cannot read the history of our rise and development as a nation, without reckoning with the place the Bible has occupied in shaping the advances of the republic…Where we have been the truest and most consistent in obeying its precepts, we have attained the greatest measure of contentment and prosperity.”

Dear reader, my articles are composed to tell the truth which is supported by the truly great of history who believe the Word of God to be ultimate truth. Who are we  of little minds to argue with GOD'S TRUTH which has stood the test of time for more than 2,000 years in spite of man's erroneous interpretations?

True History

clock March 17, 2012 05:10 by author Don's Blogs

The Pinnacle of Literature

Today there was a comment left on one of my articles  which made me warm inside. I get that way when I meet a kindred spirit. When I made the comment function available this is the sort of comment I expected (though perhaps not as elaborate). I appreciate the compliments, but I had hoped your comments would add relevant discussion.

This comment looks to be used previously online or in a letter to an author named Steve, but left on my site because of the Christian message. It is the kind of information used by soul winners. I hope this example influences others to compose comments pertinent to the subject.

“Hello Steve, I don't listen to your blogs often, but I was intrigued by this one so I did listen to some of it. The part that stopped me in my tracks was when you stated that theologians and historian do nothttp://img2.imagesbn.com/images/103200000/103207363.jpg consider the Bible as a history book. Well, my critical thinking skill makes me ask the question, "where's your proof?” Where is the proof of the "experts" you refer to? There are many, many "experts" that acknowledge that the Bible is indeed, a history book. I don't know if you've ever read it, and quite honestly, it doesn't matter if you have or not, but to state as fact something that no person can attest to the veracity of (this side of death), is not critical thinking at all, it is opinion. Clear and simple. The fact of Jesus Christ's pilgrimage on this earth is a fact. It happened. He did walk this earth, just as surely as you're walking it now. There are far too many proofs of that fact than to even try to argue against it. No one has disproved the veracity of the Bible. Show me who has; submit your proof, "irrefutably", and being the realist that I am.....I'll accept it. I have two of your books, and for the most part, they are very good. The parts that I know are wrong, or based on your bias against the Bible...I take with the obligatory grain of salt. I will not throw out the meat, with the bone. But please, if you (a person of your means that can do empirical research and present proof to your audience), cannot deliver proof of what you state as a fact (like the Bible is not a history book), then you shouldn't do it. One thing I can say with the utmost confidence is, "one day, we shall all know what the truth is". Are you willing to bet your soul (if you believe you have one) on you being right. If I'm wrong, then it really doesn't matter anyway.”---Cindy Dermo

Naturally I approved this comment. The Bible is true history, because of the 66 books written by so many common men over thousands of years without contradicting each other. That is amazing. The authors could not have compared notes. The devout Christian knows that the truth was revealed to each of these “authors” by the Holy Spirit, a single author, God. In no other way could a book be written that proved itself. I like the analogy, “The Bible is like a caged lion…let him free and he’ll defend himself.” Bible stands alone as the masterpiece of literature for many reasons, but I’ll stand on the fact that Bible prophesy is 100% accurate.

My articles are short with a punch to inspire you, my readers, to connect the dots by study of the Bible. Christians know they can’t change people. Only God can change people…that’s why I point the way. Study and meditate on what you read. Let God be God and change your life from doubt and uncertainty to JOY beyond our comprehension. Let it happen, open your heart and let the holy spirit in. Jesus is knocking at the door, but only you can open it.
